2007 Nissan Titan Review
If you are looking for a truck for off road driving, or you need one to do some heavy work, the 2007 Nissan Titan might be the one for you. When you get the off-the-road package, there is 10.3" of ground clearance and 33" tires (which is close to top of class). The Rancho gas shocks are calibrated for enhanced performance, and there is an electronic locking rear differential that boosts traction by delivering equal power to both rear wheels.
The 2007 Nissan Titan comes in 9 different colors and has an extensive option list. There are both King Cab and Crew cab, and either model is available in both standard and automatic transmissions. The full size truck has a 317 horsepower, 5.6 liter V8 engine which produces up to 358 lbs feet of torque, and has an available maximum towing capacity of up to 9,500 pounds.
One of the most attractive features for the serious driver is the center console mounted shifters that are gated for precise intuitive shifting. It allows you to take the lever out of “D” position which locks out the overdrive giving more control when driving in city traffic. You can then downshift by simply pulling back on the lever using the gates of Titan’s five speed gated shifter as your guide.
In the Crew Cab, the rear seat gives you enough room to cross your legs. It is top of class in interior cabin size. In the King Cab or Crew Cab, the 60/40 rear bench flips up with a simple lever giving extra storage area. The bed is equipped with a Utili-track channel system consisting of five C-channel rails. This system includes four tie-down cleats that you can position anywhere along these rails. The bed is protected by a spray on factory applied bed liner that minimizes the chance of contaminates getting between the bed and the liner, and reduces rattles, warping, and rusting. The Titan easily seats six passengers.
There is a 28 gallon fuel tank, and with the automatic transmission the EPA MPG figures are 14 mph city and 18 highway. The 2007 Nissan Titan is an excellent choice for a hard working off the road truck.
