2007 GMC Sierra Review

If you are looking for a full-size pickup truck that’s a good work truck and looks sharp then take a look at the 2007 GMC Sierra. This truck comes in three body styles (standard cab, extended cab and crew cab), and in 9 different colors. You can purchase the standard cab or extended cab in the standard or long beds, but the crew cab is only available in the short bed. The reason for the short bed in the crew cab is to make it easier to handle in traffic and during parking maneuvers. You also can also choose from the three different models (1500, 2500HD, and 3500HD).

Available options include the Z71 off road package which includes the skid plates, off road suspension and locking rear differential. Some other options includes the power-adjustable pedals, upgrade audio systems with satellite radio, a navigation system, a rear-seat DVD entertainment system, and a sunroof just to name a few.

The 2007 GMC Sierra earned the five star, (highest possible) rating in the U.S. government front-impact crash test. These trucks come with standard front air bags and have an ABS braking system. EPA estimated Sierra 1500 2WD with V6 engine to have 16 MPG in city driving and 22 MPG in highway driving. The 6.OL V8 engine gets 15 MPG in city driving and 19 for highway driving.

The Chevrolet Silverado made by Chevrolet and its GMC counterpart, the GMC Sierra, are the latest line of full-size pickup trucks from General Motors. The Chevrolet Silverado and the GMC Sierra trucks have been basically the same for their entire history. The Silverado is advertised as being the tougher version, while the Sierra has more luxury options. There are some trim and option variations as well. Early models included variations of the engine and equipment, but the present differences are slight.
