2007 Ford F-350 Review

The F-350 Ford Pickup truck can best be described as the F-250 Super Duty except a little bit more so.  The two models share most engines, and many of the same option packages. And like its slightly smaller brother, the F-350 is designed for work. The powerful engines and rugged frame construction are all designed for carrying heavy payload, and pulling very heavy weights. Using this truck simply for cruising around town, or commuting to the office is a bit like using Paris Hilton to simply wash the dishes.

The F-350 packs a 6.0 liter Power Stoke V8 Turbo Diesel as one of its engine options. That should give you some idea of what the designers had in mind with this work horse of a pickup truck. The truck has a 6.7-mil steel channel frame and fully boxed front frame rails. It also has staggered rear shocks that are mounted both in front of and in back of the rear axles for a smoother ride even under heavy loads and towing conditions.

The trend in trucks today is not simply utility, however, but also comfort and style. The F-350 is no exception offering a wide range of optional packages. The Western style King Ranch model and the distinctive Harley-Davidson Super Duty package give the truck a bit of special flair. The number of available luxury options and special packages seems to be limited only by the size of your wallet, and how much you are willing to spend. As with all the F series Ford trucks there are over a dozen color and interior trim selections that can be combined to suit any preference. The body styles include both a Super Cab and a Crew Cab model to bring along the family, or an entire work crew in comfort.

The F-350 XLT Super Duty model with crew cab features a standard Flexfold 60/40 rear bench seat that can be folded into 8 different configurations from a 3 passenger seat to a wide open steel load floor. It even has fold down arm rests and cup holders for the rear passengers. Although being a hard working truck is certainly the focus of this truck, it does not skimp on comfort and style to achieve it.
